Is your artificial turf UV stable?
If you want your artificial lawn to last 20 years or more, make sure that it won’t fade or change colour in sunlight. Green As Grass put their products through rigorous testing. We don’t want you to be disappointed so we do everything to ensure that the colour is stable in normal sunlight.
Thick sward
Superior quality artificial grass will have lots of fibres packed closely together. It will look and feel lush and velvety – just like a well maintained natural lawn. Always ask to see a sample so that you can check the quality for yourself.
Springy fibres
Your artificial turf is potentially going to have a lot of use during its lifetime. Springy fibres mean that it will recover quickly from wear and tear and still look perfect – even after the children have been playing on it. Press your hand onto the artificial grass, it should spring back immediately.
The curly fibres at the base of Manhattan artificial turf give it durability and bounce.
Safety First
Let’s not beat about the bush. Artificial turf is a man-made product. We use manufactured fibres for longevity and durability. But at Green as Grass we are very fussy about the manufacturing process. No dangerous chemicals or heavy metals are used to make any of our grass. And we regularly inspect the factory to check.
Buy from a trustworthy supplier
Artificial turf is widely available across the UK. However product quality can vary and so can customer service.
Never commit to buying artificial turf without researching the supplier thoroughly. Do they have good online reviews? Can they answer any questions you have? Are they importers of artificial grass and do they specify the products themselves? Do they seem honest and open?
Artificial turf should be a mid-long term investment in your property’s appearance. Do your suppliers genuinely want you to be delighted with their products and services or do they just want your money?
Ethical Sourcing
It’s very unusual to find reasonably priced artificial turf that has been produced in the UK. Most of it is imported from abroad. In some countries, the welfare of workers is not always a high priority. Green as Grass regularly visit our overseas factories to ensure that staff are well treated and that child labour is not used.
Can this type of artificial turf be recycled?
All of Green as Grass products are fully recyclable by today’s standards. But we hope you won’t be disposing of your artificial lawn for a good few years yet?
Installation Advice
A team of professional artificial turf installers. Note how the base has been carefully prepared so that it is smooth, level, firm and free draining. It’s important to get the joints right so that there are no ugly scars on the new lawn.
If your artificial lawn is not properly installed, it will have a considerably shorter lifespan. Rucks and wrinkles, slippage and unsecured edges not only look ugly, they will lead to more wear and tear.
When you buy from Green As Grass we share detailed installation instructions. Even better, we offer an installation service. Experienced independent installers can lay your low maintenance lawn for you to a very high standard. The only work you’ll need to do is to make the team a cup of tea.
